DE-CZ_rerouting_scenarios_26-07-2021

17-07-2021
Train traffic suspended on line Děčín – Bad Schandau due to track flooting after heavy rainfall. Freight trains are held back at en-route or departure stations.

Update: 19-07-2021
The infrastructure restriction at DB Netz has been removed.
Due to storm damage on Správa železnic network, cross-border freight train traffic is still not possible on the Schöna – Děčín line.

Update: 20-07-2021
According to current information the border section Děčín – Bad Schandau is on Správa železnic part closed for freight traffic due to critical conditions after flooding.
Passenger traffic is running in limited mode (one track available).
Expected duration of this closure is until 28-07-2021.
Re-routing of international freight trains is possible mainly via border crossing Cheb – Schirnding (diesel traction required).

More information about the parameters of re-routing line is available via RFC 8 re-routing scenarios. (see on page 29)

Update: 21-07-2021
Opening of single track operation between Bad Schandau – Děčín from 28 July 2021 has been confirmed. Single track operation on certain sections shall remain for several weeks.

Potential close rerouting options:
•    via Bad Brambach
•    via Schirnding
•    via Furth im Wald
•    via Rumburk

All above options are non-electrified, and have constraints on train length and weight. Detailed information about the parameters of re-routing lines is available via RFC 8 re-routing scenarios (see on page 28).

Electrified far rerouting options are via Poland;
•    Horka – Węgliniec or
•    Frankfurt/Oder – Rzepin
and Austria.
•    Passau
